So, i assumed since its the first time it'll be okay. Just today i fill up my tank from a the light to test it again and it takes $26 but the problem is that the gauge didn't fully reach the top to the full mark. I had about an eighth of a quarter tank missing. So i was wondering if i have a bad sending unit or possibly what can my problem be.

This is a Japanese car not a German car, never fill the car with only a quarter tank to full otherwise the fuel gauge will end up malfunctioning.
Wait until you hit half full before doing a fill-up. In your case, you should run your tank down until the needle starts to move again below half full.
I know the preppers will flame me on this, but if the asteroid is gonna hit would you really be driving the BRZ instead of your Range Rover to get away?!
