I wish these flares were cheaply stuck on, but they are bolted on using nutserts. As cheap as the flares may have been in cost, it does not reflect their quality, which is superb. JDMflares.com . Cool guy, easy to deal with.
And I've been a fan of Datsuns/old-school Japanese cars since I was a kid.
This is my manifestation.
Quarters are cut, welded/boxed. Front flares has to sit .5" higher than rear due to the fact they are made for a Datsun Z. I will drop the front a little, but will have to get camber plates to allow for clearance. I don't plan to go lower than that.
As for my "miscalculations", once I paid for the wheels (and was locked into a 50% refund contract) my rears were not available in the original offset I wanted, had to go 10mm closer to the chassis (from -16 to -6).
Tires are technically supposed to be 245/35 up front and 285/30 in the back. I have 245/40's up front and 285/35's in the back.
Don't care for spacers, so no corrections.
Which tracks, Watkins Glen is close, Limerock, and Stafford Motorway couple times a year. Other than that, I will Autocross locally on Sunday mornings.
Front lower rail extension (behind front tires) also boxed to allow for full lock capabilities.
I'm happy with the look, which was my goal. this is my daily and I don't want to go crazy low. Also, Rocket Bunny is nice, but this was my plan from the get go.
Still have to add canards, rocker extensions, and finish up rear cover trim.
If you like it, cool, if you don't, that's completely understandable: it was meant to make me happy at the end of the day.
I don't mind criticism of hate, it's part of this world.
