The big brake kit is a must, unless Brembo decides to come out with a kit for the FR-S (which they almost surely will) the TRD ones will be the best bet as far as money/quality, but the Brembos might be dangerously close to the TRD price since its such a new car.
StopTechs are great and a little cheaper sometimes but you might as well save up for the best because they are all going to be far north of 2,000 $.
The exhaust is awesome and so are the shocks...
my heart tells me that Remus or Akraprovic is going to make an exhaust that will be better... the ones AK makes for BMW's save 20-30 LBS and add nearly as much HP. very impressive stuff.
The shocks are going to be good, but KW, JRZ, Eibach, and Nitron are going to be making coil-over kits which will be a lot better, and deff. available in the North American market....TRD has a nasty habit of over-pricing their gear and leaving the U.S. out of their product range - unless you plan to pay.
The body kit looks great- to me. The problem with almost EVERY aftermarket body kit is quality. I work at a shop and see this all the time- and have experienced it myself. Toyota has millions of dollars to spend on researching and developing their products to withstand daily abuse. most aftermarket kits are made by great companies (GReddy, etc.) but simply dont have the money and time to make it as well as TRD can. I bought a GReddy front lip for my 05' Celica, it looked great, was made great, and bolted on with no modification. As soon as I tapped a high curb, it exploded in thirty pieces. TRD kits simply dont do this, they are manufactured to the same specs the OEM Toyota parts are made to- they are durable, look great, and bolt-on. If i were to buy any kit, it would be this one for those simple reasons.
Note: mostly all aftermarket kits need to be lightly to heavily modified to fit their intended space on the car- sometimes this requires spending 100's of dollars at the body shop to get it done right. regardless of what their website says or what Andy's Autosport or w.e. says, this is simply true. TRD kits will NOT need this extra work and cost... maybe a slight, tiny, bit of sanding or scuffing, but thats about it. trust me on this one, its just not worth the gamble.
As far as the "door support" is concerned, i consider it to be a superficial accessory like a TRD oil filler cap or a TRD shifter- they look awesome and are great quality, but affect the cars performance and handling in no way. with that being said, i am probably going to buy them. =]
