Actually, overcast is great weather for ideal lighting as all of the sunlight is diffused by the clouds to soften lights and shadows. That way you don't large objects like buildings throwing odd shadows over your subjects.

Oh, nice - I mostly meant with regards to the clouds portraying the typical gloomy Portland sky in your photos, but they still came out great
