No. Half the fun of this car is driving it well despite its "limitations". Half the people who complain about it can't go a day without bitching about something and the other half suck at driving, IM respectfully submitted O. If you are doing any sort of hooning at all, it's just not an issue. Seeing angry faces in the mirror of much "better" cars when they can't loose you in the turns is where the fun is.
ETA: My "criquets" (make them seem classy!) only ever die completely when running E85. I use a pump lube as well, and it's hit or miss with regular gas and e-free. FWIW, Shell gas is by far the worst for crickets. No idea why. I think it's cavitation in the pump, but I have no idea why some fuel does it and some does not.
