Tire sprays are stupid. I don't know why they make them or why people like them. You always get overspray. So if you do it after washing the car, you get tire shine on your clean paint and rims, but if you do it before washing you wash away the shine.
I prefer the kind that uses an applicator. My current favorite is
Black Magic Tire Wax. A really good shine and no sling. I just started using it, so I don't have durability experience yet, but I was happy with the previous product from Black Magic.
