The statement you quote is a modality from me, a perspective, that argues socratic discussions in general are stifled by this socio-political "correctness" and "sensitivity" we all must buy into nowadays to not look like bigots, or be discriminated against for having an opinion.

You don't need to be a tree hugger to appreciate kindness. And are we really getting into the definition of negative vs positive? You're really stretching there..it's pretty standard to perceive comments that oppose a topic to be considered "negative".
