There's nothing wrong with being NICE or POLITE to people. If you are at work and someone is wearing an ugly sweater, you don't need to go out of your way to tell them that it's ugly. You don't need to express negativity all the time.
It's not a requisite of being a member of a forum either.. your opinion is apparently opposite of that, and you're entitled to it. My opinion is people should have more restraint with negative opinions of people's choices.
