Ok warnings for oil temp and water temp would be nice. doesn't the solo DL does that already ?

As for displaying whatever you want when you want, the list of data available is rather limited and most of it is useless to the driver.

I mean wheel speed, or pedal sensor, brake switch, ambient air... fun for video overlay but once you are behind the wheel I don't see the point of these data.

please enlight me
The solo DL does not. It can display them, but it will not give you warnings.

The Point of the MXL is to minimize the data displayed to the driver to reduce the things the driver has to watch out for. Wheel speeds can be used to display *only* when there is a disparity. Or, temps displayed only when they're getting high. Or AFR when it's out of an acceptable range. There are a ton of ways to set up the display.

Most importantly, you can add external sensors to the MXL. Don't let the list of OBD2 readings fool you into thinking that's all the unit can do. It can display any information any external sensor provides, given that it's set up to do so.

This is a great example of why "race" parts aren't necessarily better in all cases.
