I just did a buddies. My second set now. Total time was about 3 hours. And that was with me letting the epoxy for the heat sinks to set for an hour before reassembling. Its actually really easy and fast to mod. Takes longer and harder to bake the lights and disassemble/reassemble than the solder work.

One trick I used was yo use a dremel with a small grinding tool for the traces. That allowed me to cut the necessary traces in 5 secs vs before I used a exacto and scraped/scored them which took a few minutes.

Next time I do a set I will take some better pics of the board cutting, as the pics here are not very good and hard to understand where to cut.

Biggest advice here I would say is to take your time, and use a meter to double check the connections and board cuts to ensure proper trace cutting.
