There aren't any Scions that cost $30k stock either. I was asking what
you thought "real" speed was. By the list of cars you named, your idea of "real" speed is slower than my idea.

Ever hear the saying that "Speed is expensive, how fast do you want to spend?" ? It rings true not only for modifications, but stock cars as well. Very few examples stand out, GT-R, C6 corvette, 2011 Mustang,Viper.

I'm not a ricer, of course I don't think a stock tC is fast. And I also don't think a Stock 350z, STI, Evo, WRX, S2k are fast either.
When it runs 11sec 1/4 mile stock or modded, then that's fast to me.
In terms of those other cars mentioned. The dollar amount you would have to spend on a tC to make it faster than those cars (in a straight line that is), is $3-3500. That's enough money for a decent 300whp/300wtq street car.
You didn't really elaborate on what you stated though. I asked if you could elaborate on that more, no need to start assuming things on what I think "real" speed is.
You act as if modding a car to be faster than what you consider "real" speed is somehow stupid or not worthy because it didn't come that way stock. Who cares man...fast is fast whether you bought a cheaper car and modded it, or you spent more $'s up front in the retail price for a stock car.

Thanks mrtodd. For sure, the track is where I take care of business.
