Color me skeptical on a variety of fronts:
1) Subbie Australia said they weren't getting it since it was RWD only, and that it wouldn't fit with their brand image
2) There's no way a turbo, intercooler, piping, and AWD setup only adds 100kg (220lbs).
3) There's no way the AWD version is only going to grow by 30mm, and I can guarantee that it's not going to grow in the wheelbase when it does. The engine has to be in front of the rear axle, which is why the nose on any of the current Subbie's looks the way it does. There is no room in the front of the FT-86 (even when you add in the inch) to stuff an engine...
Oh well, only time will tell. 7tune's been pretty accurate with articles on the Toyobaru so far, so maybe they know something that I don't.
