Here's a youtube vid: bolt ons auto vs stock manual. no launch. Im not sure how you can say acceleration is the same when every mag test of these cars has the manual destroying the auto in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. If the manual car in this vid had the same mods... goodnight.

It can depend on the RPM that they both were at during the video. In other words if one is at a different rpm they would have an advantage. I am also not sure if the drivers weighed the same or the gas tank was full or empty, tire pressure, or if they purchased the gas from the same station
From my experience a stock manual vs a stock auto, the manual will kill the auto in the 0-60 and 1/8 or 1/4 mile. WHen you launched the car (manual) say 5500 rpm or leave off idle or whatever in the auto, the auto doesn't stand a chance. However, the manual won't last very long when launching aggressively.
