Thumbs up

So, Dragonitti likes his modified Scion. Big deal! Why do people get offended over this? I for one, grew up with Hondas. The generations I've worked on have been excellent performance platforms for the price. I'm not saying they are the best, they're just fun to work on and you get a lot out of them. I've built a couple cars, several engines. I currently drive a '92 EH2. I personally built it's current engine, and rebuilt the tranny, complete with a lovely MFactory LSD. Although I don't have time or the money for Solo2 anymore, I still enjoy driving my car - but I am steadily getting tired of all the bitchass ricers that drive Hondas/Mazdas/Toyotas, always trying to race me on every stupid light. My car looks bone stock! Why would they try to race me? I don't care how big your ego is! Idiot ricers. This is why I'll be moving to something more refined for my next car.

Sigh. What was I talking about? Lol, oh yeah... How about we all forget the pointless arguments and just state our performance orientation?

Me: I love to modify my cars. I will never drive a car in completely stock form, no matter how 'performance-oriented', or the lack thereof, it is. This doesn't mean I plan to race each and every car I own; however, I simply like to make it as unique as I can make it (engine wise). I don't do this because I think I am better than anyone, I just like to make things my own. Also, I seem to have a frantic obsession with sleepers.

If someone else doesn't want to spend the time & money building their own custom performance mods, whether it's in an effort to keep the factory warranty or just to keep things clean and original, then that's awesome for them! At the same time, I know that I have nothing but respect for anyone who does their own REAL performance work, as long as it doesn't equate to rice.

That being said, good job on the tC, Dragonitti. I've never been a Scion guy, yet I've got nothing but respect for someone who pushes their car to the limit - both in terms of engineering, and *proper* racing (ie not on the street).
