So I have had various experiences with traction/stability control across a couple manufacturers now. One key factor in how it kicks in with it "off" is how much horizontal force is allowed. Chrysler actually has a very restrictive TC/VSC setup compared to the one in the 86. The trick to getting a good drift if that is what you want is to have enough wheel slip before actually entering the drift. This worked on an 06 Charger(I was not driving). I actually have the TC off when I drive as 90% of the ends of the roads I drive have dirt and I hate the power cut and inability to get up and go while taking off. I have experienced vsc kicking in when really pushing the car through exits. I now keep it just below that threshold if I am having fun.
