I don't know why they can't just regulate the use of these covers. As long as you can see the digits, what's the problem? I've gone through 407 with no issues. Also, I ran dealer covers for 1 year and darker covers the last 1.5 yrs. Poor guy got dinged 3 times. |
The issue is that it's an obstruction of your license plate, which is in contravention of the HTA. Honestly, if half the people who complain about getting "bullshit tickets" actually cracked open the book filled with all the rules and regulations for motor vehicles, there'd be faaaaaaar less complaints, as you'd know what's legal and what's not. Dude in that article clearly knows it's illegal, but he also said he's not taking the covers off. Way to paint a target on yourself, buddy.
Edit: also the beauty of living in a democratic society Is that you can get into the government and change these laws if you so wish. And in my honest opinion, if you're unwilling to do that, against these "bullshit" or "stupid" laws and rules, you have no right to complain.
