Yeah you won't win any arguments regarding the styling here or anywhere else lol.
I personally like the exterior. It's not pretty, but they never have been... But I think it looks cool. The interior is much better than the previous gen (I had a 2012 WRX before buying an FRS). About 95% of my complaints with my '12 WRX have been solved with the '15 WRX. Better interior, 6spd, better brakes, better steering, better chassis etc. It feels like a much more complete car and is definitely worth the price. In fact, it's hard to jusity the extra money for the STI over the normal WRX because it's gotten so good.
The STI is on another level though as an out of the box car. The EJ still isn't the best of platforms but if you take them out for a good drive back to back, you can easily notice all the differences. I'm sold on the STI because it gives me everything I want out of the factory (beefy drivetrain with 6spd, brembo brakes, LSDs and active center diff, etc). I'd be able to get an STI and do very little and be done. With the WRX though, there's a list of things I'd want to do to right away, and I'm kind of over spending thousands of dollars modifying a car... I'd rather just spend the extra up front and get what I want from the get go.. but that's just me personally.
I'm just waiting to hear official news on the new powerplant going into the STI before I decide to switch.
If I do it, I'll be getting the STI; no WRX for me.
