Idle raises in reverse

Hey all, just got my FR-S (used '13) and am loving it so far. It really reminds me of the spirit of the S2000, but it isn't so harsh as to make me hate it when I'm on the highway.

Anyways, had a quick question that I have not been able to find via search.

When I am sitting still, clutched in, and shift to reverse the engine seems to raise its idle speed by several hundred RPM. The second I pull the shifter out of reverse it goes back to normal.

This makes it really annoying to back out of my garage after a cold start, and I was wondering if this is normal, or something unique to my vehicle? I guess if this is normal I just have another reason to get the OFT, haha.

This is my 3rd DBW manual, but I've never had this happen before.

(Btw, that cold start in a one car garage is frickin loud)
