No to metranome cheat. I used gamseshark once I had my line up all leveled 100. Then I used it to increase their stats further and unlock some hidden pokemon, only one was never introduced though according to my little cousin. He has all my old gameboy games now.
And I used the link cable to do the evolve thing too, but then I mainly used it to take on others and put bets down. I never lost though, muwahahahaaa.
