My car came with a rip in the leather of the driver side bolster. I had the dealer replace the seat cover and suprisinly enough that's all it is. A seat cover.

I watched him unhook it all, wiggle it off, and then installed the new cover. Pretty straight forward.

With all that said, in the far future if the bolster crumbles and it bugs me. I'll probably just have a upholstery shop pull off the cover and make a new bolster.
