Does "ever hurting a manual gearbox" include having a gear break? I've done that before lol. Not on this car, but my T50 transmission mated to my old 3TC engine. 5th gear went out with a nice explode-y POP. Drained the transmission oil afterwards to find plenty of pieces of what was once 5th gear.
