"No matter what you do" is a pretty big loophole to that argument...

Some transmissions are obviously more susceptible to these kinds of problems (dragging forks, etc). This topic has been discussed all over the internet with people who do rebuild trnasmissions, on a huge number of different platforms. It is real, however unlikely it may be to happen to this car. And I would think actually rebuilding transmissions does lend some insight and experience that armchair engineers can only speculate.




Some people rather argue and try to be right without ever even bringing forward a legitimate theory/argument.




As for this thread garnishing more post/views than a "legitimate" technical thread is simple. Usually on a technical thread it takes two post and the answer is found, people already been there done that. This topic is one that apparently not many people know about including yourself. @JoeC
