Try pulling the OBD2 connector towards you and holding it there. Does it log for longer?

I have to wrap the cable around the gear stick to hold it in the pulled back position since the port is dodgy. I suspect a pin has been pushed back, but it's so damn awkward to work in that space that I haven't been bothered to fix it.
