Would need to push a lot into it to get the same out of my tC. Would have to combat the weight, trans, labor cost with removing the motor...etc. Just a lot more work involved to bring it up to speed of a turbo tC that I can bolt on the kit in less than 4hrs.
I have only spoken of my races, but there are my friends with boosted tC's as well (my car club), whom have taken down the likes of a Supercharged 350z pushing 380whp, Corvette Z06, 350z w/100 shot...etc.
My boy was pushing a 57mm turbo at about 11lbs of boost, stock motor of course.
The tC is just an easier avenue to build on. It provides me with immediate gratification rather than having to wait years to Twin Turbo my Z. Plus the blood, sweat and tears I've put into her....there was no way it was going to leave before the Z did.
