I did the same and am pretty sure if left long enough you would develop your own ecosystem.
In order to help dry it out I will also crank the AC and let it sit and idle for 1/2 an hour or so. The water will be pissing out the drain.
It was literally raining in my car. I got in and everything was dripping.. My skin had a mist of water all over it. It was actually really cool.. Just well.. probably not good for everything inside of the car
