Had no idea that Ford's new V8's took ~8 qts., figured it was close to the 86's as I remember Chevy V6's that took ~5 qts and I remember the Ford 5.4L truck I grew up with took about 6 qts. and given it's an American V8 it would take extremely common 5W-30 which can be found easily at $5/quart.
Crazy, seems like it's a win in every department except torque/power.
