The impression I'm getting is that the people who complain about lack of power are continually getting surprised and caught in the wrong gear or can't figure out how to stay out of the dip.

Perhaps it comes from riding an MC as well. I stay ahead of the car. I would have thought the FR-S/BRZ drivers here would not be passive drivers sitting there like the typical clueless auto-zombie. Somebody here posted about the MT and "driver involvement". There a bit more to that than just shifting a transmission.

ETA: IOW, the car rewards "driver involvement" just like it was designed to do.
