Yea if you want immediate, noticeable results in that aspect you're better off going forced induction.
To me bolt on mods (Intake/header/exhaust, OFT, etc.) are for those who want modest gains without completely changing the nature of the car. Not to mention there's a much less chance that you have to constantly fix issues on the car.
