I realize some people live in colder places than I do here on the Gulf Coast, but that little thing cold-started my car in 15°F successfully. I'm sure one twice as big could handle any DD scenario for the long term. They're a bit more expensive than a traditional battery... initially... but they last longer so are probably cheaper in the long run.
