Lightbulb OFT logs and RaceRender 3 - Video in Post

So I just got my OFT about 2 weeks ago. Just like everyone else, I'm thrilled with its value and capability (running E85 tune, loving the extra power).

One of the things I've really been nerding out about this winter, though, is getting my rig setup for data acquisition and video capture for my upcoming track days. I messed around with Harry's Laptimer last summer and was THOROUGHLY impressed with the amount of data it could show and how helpful it was to hone in on your line, braking points, etc. This year, though, I'm going a bit more overboard. I now have 2 Sony Action Cams (one HDR-AS100 and one FRD-X1000), one which will be mounted behind the driver's side just in front of the c-pillar, and one which will be mounted on my helmet. I'll have 2 lavalier mics on my rear bumper by each exhaust tip with windcovers that will run to the external camera. The external camera will have an extra battery backup. Both will be triggered through wifi remote. Blah, blah, blah...

Having started messing around with the data logging function of the OFT, I had the idea of importing its data into RaceRender to get more accurate and more thorough information than HLT could produce. Now, I could still use HLT to log GPS location, lap times, and acceleration, but I can add throttle, tach, gear, temps, etc.

After 4 mins driving around the world's most boring racetrack, and about a hour toying around figuring out RaceRender, here is the result!

Not the prettiest, yet, but definitely a cool proof of concept.

Anyone else tried this before?

TL;DR
I don't know if anyone else has tried this yet, but you can use OFTs data log capability as a pretty robust track day data acquisition system, which can be easily overlaid using RaceRender or other software.
