Thanks for the thoughts. You know I modified (but did not install and sold) a set of the Z06 mufflers and it really wasn't that much work. Sure a few hours in the garage but it's what we do right?? As for the tips I get what you're saying but for me it isn't that big of a deal. As for weight,, this will be my DD and I do 110 miles round trip a day to work,,, I'm not racing this one,, weight isn't an issue,,, but an exhaust note is. BTW the number I always heard is 7Lbs per HP. So that would equate to what,,, 4HP for a 28lb exhaust??

Even before the muffler you still have two resonators that will "muffle" your sound. I'm very big on custom exhausts, but never on using the OEM mufflers or resonators.

Not sure what to say here. I only asked for a more robust exhaust note,, can you tell me what was done with the 'chopped up exhaust' and why it was meh? I mean it's a muffler,, this isn't rocket science. Generally speaking most of the muffler players show what the internal design is and I've been looking at them. The beauty of modding the OEM muffler is that all the external stuff fits. That is,, the connection to the pipe from the motor works and the tips are in the right place,,, and I have a welder.

Just so you know,, and you can laugh at it,,, there was a time in my life I liked a really loud exhaust,, not so much now. That would of been about 1978,,,,, 1968 Corvette small block,,, header and sidepipes,,, and my future ex. For you young guys,,it's hard to believe,, I was looking good.
