You're super harsh and it's funny that you think your stock struts are going to last you 80k with those springs.. and about that day to day sports car.. how much did you pay for it? How often do you feel the dampening of the suspension? It's a bit costly, yes, but quality suspension components are crucial to a satisfying experience, both competitively and as a "day to day" enthusiast

Even if they lasted 40k I'm happy. But I won't have to worry about sending away my struts and wait for a week or 2 in order to get it back and my car just sitting there. I'm not out to waste time and money.
