Most track coilovers are indeed designed to be more aggressive, as per the insight I linked you

But streetable, quality coilovers give you a HUGE leap in performance for only a fraction percentage increase in servicing costs.. dude you can go 30-50k on one rebuild of a quality KW or Ohlins coilover if all you do is street. I don't know where you've been getting this "having to rebuild coilovers 5x as much" metric
