So if the OP is looking at AT's I'm assuming they dont want to spend their entire time driving it like a MT and by your own admission (see bold) the AT is not quite as responsive.

First part: cool story bro.
Second part: the auto in auto mode is less responsive, yes. But the auto in manual mode shifts just as quick, if not quicker and much more smoothly than I could shift gears. So yeah, for me, it's the better option
