It's not a cliché response. It's a response directly to the OP if you cared enough to pay attention. Want's a stick (but can't drive a stick) cuz the auto is boring (likely because he can't drive the auto properly either in manual or even sport mode). It's obvious he has never late braked to even remotely know what the transmission can do or used the paddles himself adequately.

This is why he wants a more powerful car. Because he doesn't know how to push the engine, transmission or chassis of the 86 to its limits. Nothing wrong with that, get an STI. Just don't blame the 86 because you don't know how to drive lightweight, RWD, high revving cars.

If anyone here is cliché, it's the haters and trolls bitching about this car sucking because lack of power makes it boring. How da fuq is a car that can corner on rails at high speed, zip through traffic and do effortless donuts in a cul-de-sac boring?!?! It's boring because the OP isn't trying. He wants the car to do it all for him. Wrong type of driver for this car. Especially one comfortable with turbo lag if you ask me.

Plus, the OC is NOT a boring place to drive!! You've got to be kidding me.

So get off your high horse and put 2+2 together, thx. Don't agree? That's just like your opinion dude.
Sorry but I've seen the "go get a V8" response one too many times.

Just because the OP wants more power does not mean he wants a V8 straight line car.

You are assuming quite a lot for the OP even going as far to tell me why he wants another car.

If the OP is shopping STI he's obviously not worried about keeping it in the same price range as a twin either.

Our car is not perfect, some like it some dont.

Different strokes for different folks.
