"Quick in a straight line".. uhh bud all gen WRXes are average or slow in the straights, all things considered and relative to other sport offerings in that price range.
As @ totopo so eloquently pointed out, it's a different kind of drive and if you can tune out some of the understeer, AWD will smash the RWD on most track configurations, apples to apples, all else equal |
Honestly for me the generic unassuming look was half of what made the og sti's awesome. You had some car that just looked like your generic mid-compact econobox with a stupid wing to those not in the know, but dominated the wrc and played with the m3's on the track for a fraction of the price. I was not a fan of the bugeyes.
