I mounted a set of yellow mirrors on my car by removing the old mirrors from their housing. I removed the mirrors with brackets attached from the car (they snap right out). To remove the OEM mirror from the bracket, I used a heat gun to soften the adhesive holding the mirror onto the bracket. Took out the OEM mirror, then reused the adhesive to install the new yellow ones (added LED turn signals underneath). Worked like a charm and has held well for months now. If you want more glue, then use 3m Windo-Weld (you can get it on Amazon).


How hard was it to remove the factory glass from its housing? I'm thinking of getting the yellow mirrors as well. I like your method better than just sticking the new mirrors over the old ones
