BUT DON'T TRUST THE CARFAX TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ACCIDENT HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you suspect it was in an accident, take it to a trustworthy body shop and have them inspect the car. i'm completely serious on this.. my previous car, an 01 eclipse, i bought all the lies and made sure that it had a clean carfax when i bought it--because i thought that carfax tells you everything...
after i got t-boned in the front corner, i had to take it in for some work, and my body guy was immediately able to see that the both doors, as well as the rear end had been worked on at some point, and then showed me where there was overspray where there shouldn't have been. i learned more about the condition of the car in that 15 minutes it was up on his lift then i ever learned pouring over that waste of paper/carfax report.
here's just another couple reasons to not entirely trust the carfax report
