false... factory alignments have historically been sporadic and a proper alignment will have that camber dialed in.

What needs to happen is a competent mechanic must play with the subframe to get rid of the cross slop. This requires patience and care... not all technicians care at all where your numbers end up if you don't hammer home your alignment specs at least to the counter guy, and even better still if you can meet the person doing the alignment. Make it personal to them. If they know you're expecting a certain performance and setup, they'll be less inclined to just throw it on the rack, dial out the toe, and call it a day.
