I could very well see myself feeling that way later on in my life, but as of now, I enjoy a manual. Its not just about chosing gears when I want as the auto can do that also. I find making the clutch, shifter, throttle, etc. all work together smoothly myself more enjoyable. I'm sure I won't feel this way about a manual if I ever have kids in the back seat.

Age range really doesn't really play into. I will admit I enjoyed moving up to having 6 speeds from 5 as much as I enjoyed moving from 4 to 5 and 3 to 4 so that does refresh the experience a bit every decade or so!
Not to mention this whole locating the shift on the floor thing!
