It puts down power and I am averaging 1.5MPG less and I don't granny the car. I loved my BRZ, but the car was completely impractical (I have kids) and too be fair to the car, I probably should not have bought one as my daily driver. It would have been much better served as a weekend fun car in hindsight, but I was having a mini mid-life crisis when I bought the car and it really was a blast.
The WRX is definitely a fun car. In a different way. It handles quite well, it has lots of power. AWD has saved my butt several times based on where I live and resale value is incredible with these cars, and to your point Tyler you get a ton of car for your money (no pun intended). I suspect that is why resale is so strong with these cars and why Subaru cannot make them fast enough. They are simply more practical and will appeal to a far wider audience than the FT86 ever will. And I don't mean that in a negative way but facts are facts. I wish I could have kept both cars and I am looking to add a used un, light, RWD car to my stable (S2K, Miata, FR-S). I suspect in a year or so I will be able to pickup a used FR-S for $15-16K range in good condition and I would love to own one again.

Wait wut. I get WAY better MPG in the WRX than in the BRZ.... and while I'm not a crazy driver, I do have my fun... Downshifted boost for every pass, WOT on every onramp, WOT around every turn that's reasonable....
