I bought the car in George but I can definitely feel the difference (lack of) in power here on the Reef (Randburg).
I was think of just doing a Chip and Air-Filter at this stage.
I got a Racechip in my Hilux but they said that their chips only run on turbo-charged vehicles.
What chip would you get and what air-fliter?
Any other modification suggestions would be appreciated..
I see there is a Spotted Thread - i'm driving around with CAW plates in case you were wondering.

Hey Stan,
Congrats and welcome! Super clean looking car you have there!
Please view the links in my signature with regards to tuning/modification options we have available for the GT86.
In short, your ECU is powerful and capable enough to be remapped without the help of any piggyback/chip tuning options, which is why we have created a range of maps/tunes to suit various modifications and fuel types without requiring any additional modifications to the vehicle.
If budget was not much of an issue and depending on your goals, I would recommend an AVO base turbo kit, this would more then make up for the lack of altitude experienced at the highveld, whilst keeping stock-like drivability.
Keeping things N/A: we have found the best mod for the car to be our UEL headers, these (when combined with a tune) smooth out the dreaded torque dip and add substantial top end power. A drop in air filter may add a few kw, but for me the main benefit is being able to clean it as often as you like. Some dealers are only replacing the air filter at 30-45k km which is too long for my liking in our relatively dusty climate.
Whichever way you go, I recommend getting a tune first of all, our tunes have "upgrade" options should you add any additional modifications to your vehicle such as UEL headers mentioned above.
The tune would ensure better fuel economy, safer running of your engine on our low octane fuel, better and more consistent power, launch control and flat foot shifting.
Enjoy your car!
