What would the adapter look like? The wheel needs to sit flush against the hub face, the only way for it to really work is to machine out the center of the rim. Now 2mm isn't a huge amount and shops can do it, but I'd probably just find some different wheels.

Most of this thread is garbage though. I've been running non-hubcentric wheels on my car for 2.5 years now without rings, taking them on and off quite a bit for autocross, and have the original studs. Rings make sure things are centered, but if you torque wheels the right way they don't really do anything for you.
