MOST people actually care about 0-60 or it wouldn't be marketed under that or how much power a car has.. But the thing is there are at least 2-3 out of 10 ppl out there that don't actually care about the cars as long as they look 'cute'..
But there is also that 5% that care about sports performance cars, that love them and would always modify a car to obtain the best out of it, but can only afford a Hyundai Getz..

I'm using the USA because I have statistics for it readily available. And it's one of the largest(probably second now to China) auto markets.
The thing is while yes, the RX-7 FC and FD are both wonderful performing cars, believe me I know <3 FDs, as are most cars that you will bring up. But again, only a minority of the owners bought them for performance reasons, a lot of people bought them because it's the cool vehicle to have or because they thought they were poon magnets. I still see bone stock RX-7's come on the market that have not been driven spirited. Again, I'm talking performance in the sense that we here think of it. If you really want to break it down in the largest of possibilities then I will concede that probably about 25% of buyers care. But in reality, most BMW, Porsche, Lamo, drivers are doing it for three reasons. Label(think people that MUST buy apple products), attractiveness(look at me factor), and status symbols.
Again, please provide me statistics to other countries so we can see what the median income of each country is, how many licensed drivers there are in your country, and what percent you think actually cares about TRUE performance.
