They are all made from aluminum (maybe you could find one or two made from other material, but no for high hp applications). So the difference and is; and is a big one the number of rows and the position of the cooler, also you could use vents to force more air trough the cooler...
I don't like the oil to water cooler (car that came with FI also came with that oil cooler, and have to be upgraded as hp increase).
Is my opinion base on constant moderate hot climate (tropic).
