I drive just about 5,000 miles a year, if maybe a little more than that. I can always cancel that warranty and get some prorated money back, but that was back in August, so I actually don't know if i'll be getting any type of money back that's worth the hassle of cancelling it.
Thoughts?

So, in your case (since you can discount mileage) you are buying a 3 year extension of the bumper to bumper and 1 year extension of the powertrain warranty which you will hit before you hit the mileage.
To "make back" your money then you would need to have a repair costing more than $1,100 during one of those two periods on a car with less than 35,000 miles on it at the end of the period.
Still seems pretty unlikely to me. Now, that being said, my car will probably suffer a huge mechanical breakdown on my way home tonight just to prove me wrong.
