There was someone else who bought a twin second hand from a non-Subaru/Toyota dealership. The engine died, Subaru or Toyota wouldn't cover the repairs but the dealer he bought it from did.
So if Toyota denies the claim, maybe the dealer you bought it from will pick up the cost?
