I walk/public transit to work. I only drive for fun. I took my car out this weekend after 2 months without driving. I never bothered to disable TC. Even so I evidently bothered a neighbor slipping over an 8" thick ice bump in the alley, when the car revved a little freely...
I'm rarely in a place where safety lets me drive such that TC engages with the less time consuming modes... Or even fully on. If the fact I live in a place where crowded roads and speed bumps are normal (with parked cars on both sides, you can not always fit another car reach way on my street) bothers you... Eh. I can't imagine how stressful it must be to be unable to take a leisurely drive and enjoy it... Let alone anything else in life. If I'm not tripping over TC, there's no reason to touch it, no?
I doubt we'll stop confounding reach other with our differences. I won't be bothered by your way of life though... And I'm definitely happier driving this car 20% than I would be in a Camry at 100%. Every so often I do get to wind that up and drive closer to 100%. And then there are race days...
