I emailed Subaru because I wanted the 2015 BRZ fob--the 2014 fob is junk--and this was their response:

"Thank you for taking the time to contact Subaru of America, Inc. I hope that you are enjoying your 2014 BRZ Ltd.

I am sorry, as the key fob for the 2015 BRZ models is not applicable to the 2014 BRZ models. Your BRZ is designed for the key fob you have.

If you need any future assistance, please let us know."
