If you're really on a budget look at used stuff. I got about 90% of my mods used or via groub buys on this forum and have saved probably $1-1.5k over buying new. Also like everyone else has said find a good group of enthusiasts and help each other with installs. It's a great time, you learn lots about your car, and you get a real sense of accomplishment from it.
I do warn you, it can very quickly turn into an addiction. Sometimes I'm glad I have my wife to stop me from buying more than I need.
